WaterAid/ASSF Fly Fishing Challenge Cup 2008

Finals Event Report

The final was held at Allandale Tarn on Saturday 8 November 2008.  The weather was just ideal for fishing, good cloud cover, and slight breeze with the occasional gust and light drizzle which did not put the competitors or the fish off.

The final was fished to Allandale Tarn Fishery Rules for the day and each competitor started off on their respective pegs and after catching two fish at their peg had to move on 6 pegs clockwise so that they can start fishing again.  The format for the day was a 5 fish bag limit with catch and release there after.  The competitors started off at and finished at with a stop at for fantastic lunch which Margo Allan had laid on.
